Within GoProfiles, teams have the ability to view the map. This map will show users a spread of all team members locations across the globe. For remote teams, this can help team members find connections locally for the chance to meet up in person. It can also be a great tool to better understand a team member based on their region.
How to use the GoProfiles Team Map
- Head to goprofiles.io. Once here, select Map on the left column of the dashboard.
- Once in the map view, users will see a wide view of all team members across the globe. If there is more than one team member in a location, a number will appear instead of a user’s profile picture.
- Zooming in will allow for those large number areas to be viewed as profile pictures instead of numbers.
- If a user is looking for someone specific, they can use the search bar at the top of the map. For more information on the Directory, you can read this article on how to use the Directory.
- The button to the right of the search bar is the Filters button. This can be useful to know if there are other members of the same department nearby.
- The button to the right of the filters button is the Find me button. Clicking this will zoom into the location of the user clicking it.
- Users are able to easily zoom in and out of the map at any time. Either using the computer’s scroll function, or using the “+” and “-” on the left side of the map will let a user zoom in or out.
